Did you design your offer, or did it just grow?

You added another call because a client asked. More support because a competitor offered it. Another deliverable to help justify the price.

Now you have more work to deliver, but the client may still struggle to understand why they should buy.

A longer list of deliverables does not automatically create a better offer.

Every part should earn its place by helping the client make progress.

Too much to deliver

Your offer keeps growing, but the additional work does not always create additional value.

Difficult to price

You look at your hours, your costs, or your competitors without fully understanding what the result is worth to the client.

Difficult to explain

You can describe everything included, but struggle to explain why it matters.

Deep Offers gives you a structured way to work through these decisions.

Your offer connects marketing to sales.

Marketing builds attention and trust. Your offer explains how you will help. Selling helps the client decide whether to begin.

When the offer is unclear, more leads can simply lead to more difficult sales conversations.

Before you add more to your marketing or change your sales script, examine what you are asking people to buy.

THE SCOPE FRAMEWORK

Five decisions behind a well-designed offer.

SCOPE helps you understand the client, the value of solving their problem, and the work that belongs in the solution.

  1. S · START

    Who is the offer for?

Understand the client’s current situation, what they have already tried, and the progress they want to make.

  2. C · COST

What is the problem costing them?

Understand the financial and personal cost of staying where they are, and the value of solving the problem.

  3. O · OBSTACLES

    What makes change difficult?

Identify the practical barriers, anxieties, and habits that keep the client from moving forward.

  4. P · PATH

What work will help them get there?

Choose the delivery model, responsibilities, and steps that give the client a practical route towards the outcome.

  5. E · EVIDENCE

Why should they trust your approach?

Make your method and proof clear enough for the client to examine before making a commitment.

Understand the client and the value. Decide the price. Then design the solution.

INSIDE THE BOOK

Read it with your own offer in front of you.

This book helps you examine the decisions behind an offer and make them more deliberately.

01

Decide what belongs

Remove components that create work without helping the client make enough progress.

02

Recognise hidden value

Identify valuable work that is being overlooked, bundled casually, or treated as an extra.

03

Price with a clearer basis

Understand the value of the result before deciding how much work to include.

04

Choose how to deliver

Think through DIY, done-with-you, and done-for-you models, along with the responsibilities each creates.

05

Design a paid first step

Use a useful diagnostic engagement to understand the client before recommending a larger solution.

06

Make your evidence visible

Help clients understand your method and evaluate why it may be suitable for their situation.

You may improve your offer by removing something, changing how it begins, or making its value easier to understand.

For experts turning their knowledge into a business.

Deep Offers is written for consultants, coaches, freelancers, agency owners, and other professionals who sell their expertise or services.

  • You know your work is valuable but struggle to package it clearly.
  • Your offer has become complicated or difficult to deliver.
  • You are unsure what to include and what to leave out.
  • You want a better basis for pricing your work.
  • You want to improve an existing offer or design a new one.

Bring one real offer to the book. Work through the framework and examine the choices you have made.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Why I wrote Deep Offers

After Deep Marketing, I expected to write Deep Selling next.

But I kept coming back to the part between the two.

We spend a lot of time learning how to generate leads and close sales. We spend much less time deliberately designing what we ask people to buy.

I wrote Deep Offers to give that work a framework.
